Simple Olive Oil Biscuits (No Butter) Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Unbleached flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup olive oil instead of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk dairy or unsweetened plant-based

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the olive oil and mix until the flour mixture becomes crumbly.
  • Pour in the milk and stir just until the dough comes together. Avoid overmixing.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently pat or roll it out to about 1-inch thickness.
  • Use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out biscuit rounds.
  • Place them on the prepared baking sheet. For a golden top, brush with a little milk or olive oil (optional).
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden.
  • Let cool slightly and serve warm with your favorite spread or alongside your meal!

Notes
